KABUL(BNA): Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, held a meeting with a delegation of Iranian investors at his office on Tuesday.
The primary aim of the meeting was to explore potential cooperation between the two countries in the mining sector, said a statement released by the Ministry.
During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on Afghanistan’s vast mineral resources, with a main focus on iron Resources. The Iranian investors expressed interest in investing in Afghanistan’s iron ore mines, recognizing the potential for mutual benefits.
In response, Acting Minister of Mines assured the Iranian delegation of the Ministry’s full cooperation. He emphasized that any investment would be facilitated in strict adherence to Afghanistan’s mining laws and regulations, ensuring a transparent and lawful process.
